Description
A few years ago, I took a trip to the Camargue in France to photograph the famous Wild White Horses. We would get up early in the morning and trek across the marsh to the shallows. There, a group of French Cowboys called Guardians would round up a group of willing horses to be our models. We stood right in the middle of the water and the Guardians would encourage the horses to run across the shallows to the other side. The horses would approach us and split apart right before they got to us. A very scary event the first few times. But the horses seemed to enjoy it and came up to us afterward in a very friendly manner. We shot in the water, on land, in the woods and in the sea with the horses charging and resting. It was truly a photographers dream to take such a trip!!
