The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Both my parents were professional photographers, so it goes without saying, that I've had a camera in my hands most of my life. Growing up, I remember spending endless nights in the darkroom helping my parents mix chemicals, develop film, and print photographs by the hundreds.
